FIVE TIPS FOR A SMALL BEDROOM

Sometimes a small bedroom can feel really uncomfortable and cramped. Small sleeping spaces often lacks natural light, right colours or smart storage. However, even the tiniest bedroom can feel cozy and work better. We know the secret – here are five ways to turn your bedroom into a comfy space.

1. AN ALL-WHITE BEDROOM

The best color for opening up a bedroom is bright white. It is a perfect base for any bedroom, because it creates the impression of space. All-white bedrooms look fresh and modern. If you do not like so much white, try beige or light gray colors!

2. AN ALTERNATIVE BEDSIDE TABLE

When it comes to our comfort zone, bedside tables are a must-have, but the traditional bedside tables are often quite large and take up too much space. In a small sleeping space, try to find a lighweight and moveable solution – for example, use a beautiful chair as a bedside chair!

3. WINDOW AS STORAGE SPACE AND A HEADBOARD

Do you have any window with a wide windowsill in your bedroom? Place your bed underneath and use the window as the headboard and the windowsill as a storage place. In this way, you can have all your books and magazines close to you!

4. MAKE USE OF THE WALL BEHIND YOUR BED

Forget huge headboards that take up all the space behind your bed, and turn the wall behind into the home gallery. Forget tabletop bedside lamps as well. Save the space on the table and hang some pendant bedside lamp on the wall instead!

5. MIRROR IN THE BEDROOM

Using a mirror to make a room bigger is an old trick which still works. The bigger mirror, the bigger effect. However, the mirror should not face your bed directly, as it can disturb your sleep, so place it somewhere else!
