THE GOLDEN GEOMETRY EXHIBITION AT KVALITÁŘ

Until 18 April 2014 you have a chance to visit Luděk Rathouský's Golden Geometry exhibition at Kvalitář in Prague.

We saw the exhibiton last week and were really impressed by it. If you like Medieval Art and medieval masters, you should not miss it.

Luděk Rathouský, the member of the "Rafani" art group, has been subjecting the Gothic painting a number of years. With this exhibition he refers to the work of the afore-mentioned Theodoric of Prague, whose cycle of 129 panel paintings grants a spectacular character to the Chapel of the Holy Cross at the Big Tower of Karlštejn Castle.

However, Rathouský does not transfer the figural scenes well known from the Castle onto his canvases. In fact, he deconstructs them on the basis of the first reading of colour surfaces and blurring visual impression up to the pure geometry.

You should not miss the atmosphere at Kvalitář Gallery which is likely similar to the one in the Chapel of the Holy Cross at the Big Tower of Karlštejn Castle.

When visiting the exhibition do not forget to come by Kvalitář showroom, as well. Here you can see and buy the original design icons from Le Corbusier, Fritz Hansen etc. Here you have an unique chance to see these classic pieces surrounded by contemporary art.
