Red by Dita Štěpánková

Praguekabinet, gallery, which was established in 2009, specializes in the unique art of design. The gallery is located in the historical centre of Prague, close to the Old Town Square. It showcases unique works of art by Czech and foreign artists. Up until 12 of November, you have a chance to visit exhibition by the Czech artist Dita Štěpánová, which is named Red.

In her pictures, which were acknowledged by Louise Bourgeois as being first-rate,” Dita Štěpánová chiefly explores the classic themes of still life and the landscape. She follows the tradition of the Pompeii murals, the Italian renaissance or the Baroque still life. However, she refreshes this traditional historic concept with the essence of the present, enriching it with a story reflecting the atmosphere of this age.

Her style is really distinctive and specific. A typical element of her work is to connect the colors red and black. These significant colors evoke many feelings and provoke your mind. So be sure that you don’t miss the opportunity to check out this amazing exhibition!
