At the end of November our SOFFA team took a trip to the European fashion and creative capitol - Paris. Besides visiting a stunning exhibition L'esprit du Bauhaus at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs which you can see in Paris until the end of February 2017 and we will report more in our next MINI ISSUE, we had an exclusive chance to see the 'Hermès at work' exhibition showcasing the house craftmanship at the Carreau du Temple .
Top artisans representing ten métiers (vocations) from the Hermès parisian
house revealed the secrecy of their workshops at Hermès. Showing their work, experience and passion in action and providing detailed and live image on Hermès production of bags, saddles, gloves, silk, porcelain, watches and jewellery.
We also had a chance to talk to Kamel Hamadou, who has been working in the silk departement for Hermès since over 30 years. The interview will be featured in SOFFA 19 coming out in February 2017.
At the exhibition were taking place creative workshops, discussions and a library and freshly roasted coffee with organic tasteful experience from one of the trendiest bistro in Paris - La guiguette d'Angele.
