Slovenia has always been a bit of a mystery to us. The small country between the Alps and the Mediterranean is said to be the greenest in the whole of Europe but we never really had a chance to get a taste of its beauty. Until this August when we found ourselves in the eco & glam Big Berry camp in the stunning region of Bela Krajina in the eastern part of Slovenia. Spending a few days literally meters from the river Kolpa in Slovenia's wine country would have been wonderful in its own accord but thanks to Big Berry we were able to enjoy it even more. Imagine living in a compact luxurious house with a shaded patio where every morning you find a basket full of delicious local food for breakfast, with a private hot-tub where you can relax every evening. You can take a trip on a bike or a canoe, go fishing or horse-riding, visit a milk farm, a winery or a distillery. Since there are no large cities nearby, you can enjoy watching stars at night (or even the annual meteor shower also known as Perseids). And the best part? You don't really have to worry about hords of tourist - Bela Krajina is a treasure that is still waiting to be discovered and explored.
Big Berry houses are simple but beautiful and functional inside. Every morning at Big Berry starts with breakfast consisting of local products - you can enjoy all from milk to honey!
In SOFFA, we use the Hydro Flask bottles everyday: sitting in the office for our morning coffees, on our photo shoots at hidden locations and during our #SoffaChallenge trainings, as well!
